Christina Aguilera: Confirms Separation
Christina Aguilera has announced that she has split from her husband of five years Jordan Bratman. In a statement the singer said "Although Jordan and I are separated, our commitment to our son Max remains as strong as ever."
A source is quoted in US Weekly as saying they have not yet decided to divorce and added that "they are now living apart, and they will see how that goes".
The pair met in 2002, after being introduced by music bosses, and tied the knot three years later in a lavish Hollywood wedding.
But yesterday Christina confirmed the break-up in a statement to fans.
‘Although Jordan and I are separated, our commitment to our son Max remains as strong as ever,’ it read.
The reason behind the split is still unknown, although it’s thought the pair had drifted apart in recent months. 'They were very much in love. But over the last six months, it became clear they were more like friends than husband and wife,' a source told Us Weekly.
‘They are now living apart and they will see how that goes,' the insider added, ‘but that they have not yet decided on whether they will divorce’.
