Fox Ordered Lindsay Lohan Back To Rehab

"Lindsay Lohan will go back to the Betty Ford Center until Jan. 3 and report back to court in late February" Los Angeles Superior Court Judge Elden S. Fox ordered.

Everyone in court laughed when Judge Fox revealed that he set the for January 3 because he doesn't want Lindsay out parting on New year's Eve, and her next court date is scheduled for February 25.2011.

A prosecutor had advocated a six-month jail sentence for the "Mean Girls" star, but Fox opted for rehab after reviewing filings by probation and rehab officials and a letter written by Lohan.

Lohan cried after hearing the sentence.

The judge acknowledged that Lohan, 24, has been in-and-out of court and rehab since a pair of high-profile arrests in 2007. He told the actress that he would not be manipulated by her, but was giving her a final chance to stay clean.

"You're staying past the New Year's -- there's a reason for that," Fox said.

Today's hearing was Lohan's fifth court appearance since May, when she ran into trouble with her probation for missing several weekly counseling sessions. She later spent 14 days in jail and 23 days in rehab as punishment.

Next time Lohan will appear in court on February 25.

Lindsay Lohan's legal team reportedly want the length of her court-ordered probation presently scheduled to run until August 2011 lessened. Apparently they're all a little worried she'll get into trouble before the period ends.

Lindsay is presently in the Betty Ford rehab center in Los Angeles, following two spells in prison this summer. She served 13 days of a 90-day jail term in July before briefly being returned in September after failing drug tests, although she was released hours later on $300,000 bail.

A source explained to PerezHilton.com: "The longer Lindsay stays on probation, the increased chances that she will get in trouble because of problems staying compliant with the terms of her probation.

“The only person that can modify terms of Lindsay's probation, or terminate it early, is Judge Elden Fox."

The actress could again face a return to prison, as she is due in court on October 22 for a probation hearing after her failed drug tests. Friends of the star have said she isn’t worried by this prospect, however, and is prepared to return to jail.One pal said:

“The fact is jail doesn't scare Lindsay. Before she did her time earlier this summer, she was petrified. Having spent time behind bars, it doesn't have that effect on her. Jail isn't a deterrent for her, period.”

Oscar winner actress Mo’Nique has told the recent media criticism of Lindsay Lohan for violating her parole.
She told that the people who attack Lohan Access Hollywood for failing a recent drug test, they should consider that what their own action would be if thier daughter was in similar way as Lohan.

"Stop judging her," she said. "That baby simply needs some help and if it was your baby, would you want to turn on the TV every night and hear people's horrible opinions and they don't know what’s really happening?"

The star continued: "So the advice is for us. Stop judging that baby."

Lindsay Lohan is reportedly moving to check back into rehab.
this time it's going to be intensive inpatient rehab.

Lohan's latest round of legal woes comes following her 13 days in prison and 23 day stint in a court-appointed rehab facility in recent months. "Substance abuse is a disease, which unfortunately doesn't go away over night," Last week she also tweeted "I am working hard to overcome it and am taking positive steps."...

A source tells People magazine "Lohan will step up her treatment and do more than what she was previously ordered to do,"

Lohan has another probation violation hearing on Oct. 22, where she could potentially face more jail time for the positive drug test in her ongoing DUI case.
